Strategy and Scoping - AOP

Deciding what services to outsource to a third-party provider is essential. – Identifying your businesses competitive advantages, and deciding what services to deliver internally, and which services are best suited to the expertise of an outsourced provider is critical.

In our Strategy and Scoping course we discuss key insights and strategic drivers for outsourcing partnerships. We discuss the baseline information a buyer must have in order to successfully engage the provider community and evaluate options. This course also describes various deal structures and pricing models to be considered when taking the first steps in working with an outsourced provider.  

The planning and preparation done prior to entering into an outsourcing arrangement establish the foundation for success. The course provides key insights into the strategic drivers for outsourcing and the alignment of business and sourcing strategies, and identifies the baseline information a buyer must have in order to successfully engage the provider community and evaluate options. The course also describes various deal structures and pricing models to be considered.

Course Format

This four-day virtual course is facilitated by some of the most experienced outsourcing professionals. The sessions are supplemented with group workshops/exercises which provide participants with opportunities to share experiences and apply their learnings.

This is one of the four courses which contribute to the AOP certification program and for individuals with an AOP accreditation they will receive credits towards recertification.

This course is not offered in French.

Those who complete the course will receive a digital badge from Supply Chain Canada and SCMPs will earn 5 CPD credits per course. We kindly ask members to enter their activity independently following this course.
